Piano Lessons—Beginning through early advanced

Parents! Cynthia Bythell offers traditional piano lessons in a variety of methods which include reading, writing, and understanding music, as well as development of playing technique, improvisation and performance skills. She is known for her patient and fun yet firm teaching style.

Adults! Let a real pro show you how to play the piano with ease and confidence. It’s not as hard as you think! Simple instruction geared to your individual needs, incorporates your chosen style as soon as possible and helps you to quickly learn to read and play music.

Appointments are available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, from 1:30 to 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The first piano lesson is free! Continue lessons at $120/month. Monthly tuition includes 4 half-hour private lessons each month plus 3 informal recitals/year conducted in a small group setting. There is a larger formal recital in May and the cost is $20/student. Families with more than one student receive a substantial discount at the rate of $90/month for each additional student.

Everything Unfolding As It Should

They didn’t cast me. Honestly, my first reaction was surprise! (Color me confident.) At any rate, it’s ok. In fact, it’s good. Auditioning for America’s Got Talent was an amazing adventure, but apparently the Powers That Be have a better way for me to get my songs out to the world. It appears that this was only a path of preparation: Intense preparation that grew my presence, shined-up my material, polished my appearance, strengthened my voice, and left me with an increased sense of self-worth. No wonder there are no tears. It’s all working out perfectly. So, what’s next? I am listening…
