Cynthia’s Notes

2020 Christmas

‘Twas three weeks before Christmas and all through our house, not a person was stirring, but me and my spouse. Two stockings were hung by the chimney with care; Too bad no one would be there to share.  Ev’ry night we rested all snug in our bed, while visions of vaccines danced in our heads.  Each morning we arose to shelter in place, glad that our home was a warm, comfy space.  Glittery garland, lights twink’ling on the tree, we nestled on our cozy couch for Christmas movies on TV.  Gifts ordered on line, season’s to-do list quickly done, there was a whole lot less work and much, much more fun.  It left plenty of time for Christmas love, peace, and light; The deep understanding that ev’rything will be alright.
