The folks in town called my Dad “the man with the million dollar smile”.  H e was a family man who enjoyed playing with us kids, and I loved riding around on his shoulders.  Even though he was always home when he wasn’t at work, I never really got to know him as a person until my Mother passed.  The last years of his life were precious to me.  I found out what Mama saw in him: His smile actually came from his heart.  He had a deep and genuine appreciation for life and especially for children.  Dad will be on my mind this month when I debut my new song at a private event.  It’s called Ever Shining Bright.  It’s not about my Father’s smile, but it sounds like it should be!

Hardly ever (almost never) get out to hear live music because I’m too busy making my own.  It’s no secret that I have a deep passion for writing songs, recording, and singing professionally on stage.  For some time now, I’ve been performing/recording inspirational originals. Suddenly, and out of nowhere, the jazz bug has bitten me…

Doesn’t it feel like we just went through a fast forward?  Next thing we know, we’ll all be singing Auld Lang Syne again!  Speaking of which, I hope your holidays were as festive as mine, but now what?  For me, it’s time to get my students ready for the Winter Share The Music Day where the…
