In honor of my birthday this month, you should please excuse the pun! Yep, it’s time to celebrate. I’m putting away the tax prep work and taking a break from teaching. No performances are booked in the near future. I’m through planning photo shoots & studio time, and happy leaving my You Tube Channel as is, for now. It’s time for a little birthday vacation. My Darling Sweetheart, my beautiful “Labra-dobie-dor”, and I are heading for a cabin in a densely wooded area up by the Russian River. There will be nothing better to do than stare at the fire, relax in the hot tub, put a jigsaw together and eat Shelly’s practically world famous lasagna casserole and some See’s butterscotch squares. It’s a tough life, but somebody’s got to keep the vacation rental industry alive and well.

Wishing You Love
ByCynthiaWas it just good luck? There she was “across a crowded room” as the romantic story always goes. She was absolutely aglow with the fun she was having with her friends. Our eyes met, and we smiled simultaneously. Minutes later I turned, and she was sitting next to me. A year later, we were married…
Creative Space
ByCynthiaIt’s that time of the year when lesson cancellations run rampant. Summer vacations definitely take their toll on my teaching income. That’s o.k., life is full of trade-offs. Sundays Are “Event-Full” this Month!
ByCynthiaI’ve been asked to tell my story at the Unity Castro Valley 10:30 church service this coming Sunday 9/9. Yes, I was brave enough to write and post it on my website’s Inspirational Page and Face Book timeline, but sharing it live? Scary!!! Actually, I’m sure it will be fine if I ask Spirit to speak through me, and remember that…
Ever Shining Bright
ByCynthiaWith leftover turkey soup in the freezer, and the new year feeling about a quick minute away, I’m deep in the holiday to-do list. Every year I try to simplify, but it still overwhelms. Apparently I don’t now how to decorate just a little, or invite less company, or keep the shopping to a minimum….
“The Man With The Million Dollar Smile”
ByCynthiaThat’s what the townspeople called my Dad. I loved his huge toothy smile. He loved to play with my brothers and me, and he loved my Mom. I remember my parents dancing in the kitchen, holding hands, and sharing little kisses. Yes indeed, Dad was a true family man. My father grew up in poverty,…
May Blessings
ByCynthiaIt’s time to put Mom & Dad’s photos up on the mantel again in accordance with my yearly tradition. When I was little, we had a different custom. May 1st meant dancing around the Maypole, weaving brightly colored streamers into a beautiful pattern, and handing out May Baskets full of flowers. It was a fun…
