It was so much fun to sing with the Magnolia Jazz Band again late last month, on such a beautiful day in Napa. It seemed like Summer, but the next thing I knew, it was time to get ready for October Share The Music Day. This is an informal event where the students play for each other and their parents. It’s not easy to get everyone organized into groups and feeling confident about a couple of pieces, but it’s one of my very best tricks! Meanwhile, I sent off the copyright papers for the fourteenth and final song for the album I’ve been writing. This called for a celebration, so I stopped at Burger King for an ice cream cone. Since I count calories everyday this 170 calories of frozen vanilla delight is one of my very best treats!
