The Holidays were cause for resentment when I was younger. It felt like ‘Tis the Season to be Busy: Just one great big “To Do” list. Now, I look forward to decking the halls, and having many gatherings of friends & family in our home. My students love the decorations, and we enjoy learning seasonal songs together. And of course there’s the multitude of parties and performances to enjoy. My sweetheart Shelly and I also celebrate our anniversary this month. We share a love that has lasted for decades. This year it’s an overnighter in Healdsburg with a view of the little downtown park all lit up for Christmas. Later this month I get to perform for the 2nd “Let’s Raise The Roof” concert, where several faiths come together to raise money to help First Congregational Church Berkeley to recover from a big fire. It’s Sun. Dec. 18, 6:00 p.m., Lake Park Methodist Church, 281 Santa Clara Ave., Oakland. Ticket donation is $25/one or $20/two or more. Info/Questions: roymosley@comcast.net (415) 742-0538. Ok, I guess it’s still the season to be busy! But it’s also creative, warm, loving & giving. Staying close to my spiritual practices fills the holidays with great joy.

What Makes Me Happy
ByCynthiaI love recording at Sandy Stone’s studio. My new CD containing three of my original inspirational songs is done, and I’m happy with it. It’s Fall and I’m Havin’ a Ball
ByCynthiaAdventures in music continue as my inspirational originals album moves along. Amidst recording sessions, mix-downs have begun. And next week, I’ll be turning over a finished piano/vocal to the arranger. Can’t wait to hear what he does with it… So Fun! Simultaneously, I’ve been editing the avalanche of videos generated by the jazz gig…
Everything Unfolding As It Should
ByCynthiaThey didn’t cast me. Honestly, my first reaction was surprise! (Color me confident.) At any rate, it’s ok. In fact, it’s good. Auditioning for America’s Got Talent was an amazing adventure, but apparently the Powers That Be have a better way for me to get my songs out to the world. It appears that this…
Giving Thanks for Thanks & Thanks for Giving
ByCynthiaI’m so grateful for my morning gratitude practice. It makes me happy, and gets my day off to a good start. First, I write a list of things I appreciate about yesterday, making sure to put a positive spin on any thing that didn’t seem so great at the time. (If I woke up grumpy,…
Love & Appreciation Day?
ByCynthiaWriting a gratitude list of things for which I’m truly thankful, is always enlightening and uplifting for me. Some of my friends don’t find it so easy. One of them explained that he had too many “You should be grateful”s thrown at him as a kid. He definitely picked up a negative feeling about giving…

ByCynthiaWell, I’m up from under an avalanche of tax work for a breath of air. Whahoo-o-o! I’m done! It took about *?!*? (wo)man hrs. to dig my way out through the piles of papers and mounds of “bitty” faded receipts. But, I’ve lived to tell about it, and now the 5 page 2016 Summary is in the mail to…
